You are a great swimmer! You can go underwater, flip not once but three times in the water, and you are a great swim teacher to your sister!

You love to play video games, watch cartoons and movies!

You worry about everything.

You are still a picky eater but have tried many new things!

Your favorites are of course pizza, mac n cheese, plain double cheeseburgers but you have tried fettuccine with alfredo sauce, steak tacos with guac and pico de gallo, bbq ribs (You LOVE Salt Lick!), and spag with sauce!!

You really are a great big brother even though you guys have the normal brother sister and brother brother relationships.

My Big Boy!

You are in first grade. You are in the TAG (gifted) program. You are in the dual language Math enrichment program! You are the only one in your class to get your first AR Tag! You made 200 club! You can read 3rd grade level books. You can solve multi-step math problems in your head! You are so sweet! You can be stubborn! You love to be challenged! You are swimming like crazy! You dunk your head and swim underwater now! : )

Yesterday, I had an annoying afternoon. I went to run some errands that I thought would be very quick. I was going to mail a package and thought I could mail it using the machine. Well, since I was mailing it to a military address I had to wait in this super long line. Then I went to pick up a prescription just to find out I had called the wrong pharmacy. Then I tried to pick up some pictures and they needed a copy of the copyright release. I only had the original and they didn't have a copier. So, G could tell I was annoyed. So he made me pancakes with strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, syrup and a glass of OJ and said "Here Mommy, will this make you feel better!" I love him! He made it on his IPod! I'm so lucky!

1st week of first grade:

G has been talking about how he wants a friend to come over. He got her, yes I said her, phone number yesterday. He wants to call her. So do I call the mom first, will the mom be mad that her daughter gave out her number, what do I do? I'm not making it a big deal with him but can't believe my baby wants to hang out with a girl! :)

WOW! My first baby is six, yes SIX years old today! Time has flown by sooooo fast! I am one lucky Mommy! Garrison, I LOVE you and you have truly been a blessing!

My Smart Boy...

On Tuesday, we went to Barnes and Noble after having lunch with Dennis. Garrison found this book "Don't Smile at a Monkey!" and read the whole thing to me with VERY LITTLE help! I was so amazed and proud of him! They had done such a good job that I let them both pick out a book. So Garrison decided to pick out Carnival at Candlelight which is Magic Treehouse #33! At first I was hesitant because it was a chapter book and I thought it might be too hard. Well, I had him read the first page of the book and he got ALL the words without any help. So, I told him he could get the book. So, that night we started the book. We started by each taking turns reading a paragraph at a time. Before I knew it, he wanted to read it all. He didn't want to take turns but wanted to read it all. Of course he couldn't read every word like Venice or Camelot, but he got adventure, nevertheless, and even sorcerers! So I looked up the book on our AR list at school and found out it is a 3.9 level book so pretty much 4th grade! WOW!!!! My boy is SMART!
